About me
Loretta Ho is a certified play therapist on the Play Therapy UK (PTUK) register (Register of Play and Creative Arts Therapists). She works with children and adolescents 1-on-1 using non-directive, child-centred play therapy. She also uses the Play Therapy Dimensions Model in individual and small group sessions. Loretta is passionate about helping young people to explore "self" through play. She believes in each individual's potentials and trusts that everyone can be empowered to live their strengths.
Loretta is also a registered psychologist under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency - Register of practitioners (AHPRA) and works as a school psycholoist in primary schools. While most of her work includes play therapy with children and adolescents, she works alongside parents and family to provide support and develop their confidence in parent-child interactions. She upholds high ethical standards and values fairness, privacy and kindness.
Prior to play therapy and psychology training, Loretta was trained as an audiologist in Hong Kong, helping people with hearing and listening difficulties. She is an accredited audiologist of Audiology Australia (Members - Audiology Australia). She is interested in pursuing further training in assessing auditory processing disorder and differentiating it from ADHD.

Play Therapy
Play Therapy is a type of therapy where play and art materials are used as the main way for people to express themselves.
Using play in therapy helps people to express themselves in their own way; especially if they are struggling to understand how they are feeling or are finding it hard to put their experiences into words.
Play Therapy can be a particularly helpful approach for children in need of therapeutic support.
